The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hendry shoots for a double leg takedown but Gunn sprawls well. He's pushed Hendry's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Gunn throws a body punch but Hendry moves out of range.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Gunn connects with a good right hand that stumbles Hendry. Hendry circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Hendry fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Gunn sprawls well initially but Hendry persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Hendry looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Gunn is trying to get back to full guard.

Hendry in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Gunn tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Hendry!
