The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vlasov fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Assad sprawls well initially but Vlasov persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Vlasov thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Assad's head.
Vlasov takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

I think Hicks might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Bill Hicks at Dangerfields. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.
