Hole throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Mercer stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Hole drops Mercer with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Mercer looks back up at him and smiles so Hole waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

It looks like Malik Mercer has been cut.
Malik Mercer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Mercer takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Hole, as that shot connected.

Braga has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Franco regains guard immediately.

We've been hearing good reports from Franco's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Black fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Woods to the ground. Black is now in Woods's guard.

Apple doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Nice straight punches there by Portis. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Portis.

We've been told by Portis's head coaches at Fight Club FC that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Portis feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Apple sprawling to the canvas! Apple rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Portis finish him?!

Apple tries to get into range but Portis steps to the side and lands a beautiful hook that drops Apple! He's faceplanted into the mat, ass in the air... he's out cold! That's an image he won't want to show his grandkids when he gets older! Portis scores the big KO victory!

Well Hammer has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
