Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Randy Donnalley (ranked 9620 p4p, 780 weight class) and Elton Korth (ranked 4885 p4p, 549 weight class). Korth has chosen The Game Feat. Lil Wayne - Red Nation as his entrance music. Randy Donnalley had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 187.5lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jeffries takes a swing at Brown's ribcage but misses.
Brown throws a hook but Jeffries avoids it easily.
Brown shoots in for a takedown but Jeffries shows good takedown defense.

Brown bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Jeffries wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Brown fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Brown throws a strike aimed at the side of Jeffries 's head but Jeffries avoids it well.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jeffries can do anything to dispel that myth.

Brown moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Jeffries has worked his arm free - good work by Jeffries !

Brown is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Jeffries is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Brown wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Jeffries , who protects the arm well.

Brown working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Jeffries really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Brown. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Jeffries is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Brown is controlling him well.
Brown wants to control for a moment but Jeffries uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.

Jeffries felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Brown is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Brown wants to take a breather but Jeffries is having none of it.
Brown throws a strike but Jeffries avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Jeffries is looking to stand up but Brown isn't so interested in that idea.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

The fighters circling - Brown throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

enabling Jeffries to counter with a crisp jab.
Earl Jeffries is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Horrible takedown attempt by Brown or perhaps it was just good defense by Jeffries , which made it look bad.
