I think Rollins might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Imperial March (L.O.D. Rage Mix). Henry Rollins could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Niko Diaz's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rollins looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rockford Knight (ranked 278 p4p, 31 weight class) and Tony Abbot (ranked 1001 p4p, 123 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Knight might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to The Stars that Play with Laughing Sams Dice by Jimi Hendrix. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

With a record of 26 - 22 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tony Abbot!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Shigeki Fujiwara.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Abbot misses with an uppercut
and Knight counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

It looks like Tony Abbot has been cut.
Knight swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Knight throws a shot from downtown. Abbot moves away and avoids it.
Abbot blocks the body kick.
Abbot appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
A big left from Abbot misses.
Knight slips a jab from Abbot.
Abbot checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Knight looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Abbot takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Knight moves away from the strike by Abbot.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Good exchange - Abbot coming out on top.

Abbot lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Knight circles away quickly and effectively.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Knight, as that shot connected.

Abbot throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Abbot scores with a jab to the jaw.
Knight thows a body kick. Abbot tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Abbot jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Nice cross by Knight.
Knight throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
A big left from Knight misses.
Knight bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

That has opened up Tony Abbot's cut even more.
Abbot tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Knight thows a leg kick but Abbot checks it

and Abbot decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Knight's guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Knight trying to control the position.
Knight is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Abbot is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Knight is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Abbot trying to control the position from guard on top but Knight is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Knight working for a triangle but Abbot defends it easily.

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Knight looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Abbot trying to control but Knight is working from the bottom.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Abbot shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Knight pinned against the cage. Knight gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
A slow jab from Knight misses its intended target.
And Abbot tries to counter it with a takedown but Knight pushes his down on his head and steps out.

and Knight counters with a nice uppercut.
Knight scores with a jab to the jaw.
Knight throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Knight takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

It looks like Rockford Knight has been cut.
Abbot misses with a hook. Knight ducked under it nicely.
Abbot throws a poor cross that misses
and Knight counters with a slapping leg kick.
Nice uppercut lands for Knight. That snapped Abbot's head back.

The cut above Tony Abbot's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Knight throws a body shot but no joy.
Knight dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Knight thumps Abbot with a low kick.
A nice leg kick lands there from Knight.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
A good leg kick by Knight.
Abbot dives in for a single leg takedown but Knight sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Knight uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Abbot.
Some wild striking there from Abbot.
Abbot keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Knight is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Abbot on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Abbot throws a looping overhand right but Knight ducks down to avoid it.
Knight throws a lazy right hand but Abbot sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Abbot throws a jab but it's blocked by Knight.
Knight scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rockford Knight dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
That's time! Knight's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Knight dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Abbot. That did some damage!
Abbot is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Knight.

Knight throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Abbot scores with a nice right hand.
Abbot throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Knight lands the left hand.
Abbot might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Abbot loads up on a big right hand but Knight slips the punch.
An inside leg kick lands from Knight.
Abbot pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
That kick from Knight tenderised Abbot's leg. Abbot is trying to keep his angry face on.

Abbot throws an overhand right that lands on Knight's shoulder, as Knight tries to avoid the shot.
Knight sizes up Abbot with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Knight is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Abbot can do to turn this around?

Knight cracks Abbot with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Knight has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Abbot to stand back up!

Abbot is rocked!
Abbot sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Abbot is still on wobbly legs! Can Knight finish him?
Abbot chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Knight can pounce on him.
Knight cracks a nice hook into Abbot's ribs.
Abbot is breathing heavily.
Knight connects with a leg kick. Abbot looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Abbot seems to have recovered his senses.
Knight throws a leg kick which misses Abbot's front leg but catches the back leg as Abbot tries to avoid it.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Knight slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Tony Abbot's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Good work by Abbot as he checks the leg kick.
Abbot's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Abbot takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Knight drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Abbot right on the button. Abbot goes down! Knight follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Knight gets the win via TKO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:37 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rockford Knight!
