Undercard bout

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bruce Leeroy (ranked 10360 p4p, 677 weight class) and Samak Tiyapairat (ranked 4114 p4p, 394 weight class). Leeroy comes into the arena with Boondocks Theme Song blaring out of the sound system. The crowd seem to be enjoying Tiyapairat's choice of entrance music: Ram Muay. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Tiyapairat slips a jab from Leeroy.

Tiyapairat clinches with his opponent.
Tiyapairat tries to land knees in the clinch but Leeroy avoids the damage to the body.

Tiyapairat drops Leeroy with a big knee straight up the middle! Leeroy is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!

Leeroy is rocked!

It looks like Bruce Leeroy has been cut.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Leeroy steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Tiyapairat. That one must have hurt.
Oh Leeroy is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Tiyapairat fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Leeroy, pushing him back against the cage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Tiyapairat unloads a knee to the mid-section. Leeroy lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Leeroy misses with the head strike.
Tiyapairat jerks Leeroy's head down, straight into the path of a devastating knee! Leeroy drops to the floor in a crumpled heap! Tiyapairat goes to throw a finishing haymaker but pulls out - good sportsmanship from Tiyapairat because Leeroy was completely out of it. That was a nice finish - just the right level of brutality to send everyone home happy.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knee). Samak Tiyapairat!
A very excited looking Samak Tiyapairat rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.

Dux uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Bitch!.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Bitch!.
Dux throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Dux drops Bitch! with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Bitch!! Dux dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!

Frank Dux very nearly forgot to thank Amped Performance amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.

Hug lands a big head kick that sends Prime tumbling to the mat! Hug takes a step backwards and waves Prime back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like Optimus Prime has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Hug throws a head kick that misses.
Prime cracks Hug with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Prime misses with a looping left.

Prime changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hug looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Prime throwing strikes but Hug manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!
Prime is looking to regain half guard here but Hug keeps moving and retains side control.

Hug stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Hug throws a series of punches but Prime avoids them all with ease.
Hug steps into range and unloads a brutal right left combo! Prime is out on his feet! Hug sets himself and nearly takes Prime's head off with a straight right, sending him crashing to the mat! Wow, that was nasty... but awesome! Wooo!

That was a close round but I would say that Francisco Salgado will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Wallace lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Salgado has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Salgado and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Salgado swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.

Wallace closes the distance and clinches.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Salgado just misses with a elbow thrown towards Wallace's brow.
