Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rock Allen (ranked 7562 p4p, 738 weight class) and Tyron Woodley (ranked 5930 p4p, 668 weight class). Tyron Woodley told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Woodley throws an off balance right hand
and Allen counters with a straight right hand.
A solid leg kick lands there for Woodley.

Allen looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.
Allen is looking to slow Woodley down with leg kicks.
Woodley throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Allen takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Woodley shoots in and bounces Allen off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Allen wants to stand and escape but Woodley is having none of it.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

He tries to recover but Woodley pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Allen is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Eikmeyer tries for a takedown but Caine sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Eikmeyer fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Caine sprawls well initially but Eikmeyer persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Eikmeyer is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Caine defends it well.
Eikmeyer slips a nice elbow through Caine's hands, connecting with Caine's forehead.
Caine is trying to maintain the position but Eikmeyer is very close to passing his half guard.

Eikmeyer is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Caine is just riding it out for now. Eikmeyer eventually gives up the hold.

That was a close round but I would say that Sharky Shark will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
