Hankaniemi closes this distance looking for a takedown but Melim circles away.
Mika Hankaniemi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Melim gets caught flat footed, as Hankaniemi shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Hankaniemi wants to get up but he can't break Melim's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Hankaniemi really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Melim. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Melim is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Hankaniemi frees his head nicely. Oh but Melim has switched to an armbar! Hankaniemi is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
