Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Randy Savage (ranked 6880 p4p, 630 weight class) and Ivan Arago (ranked 7853 p4p, 677 weight class). Savage comes into the arena with Pomp & Circumstance blaring out of the sound system. Arago is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Russian Power. Ivan Arago told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Savage stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Savage wants it to stay on the feet.
Savage circles away from the clinch attempt
and Savage counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Savage gets caught napping as Arago dives in and scores a takedown. Savage manages to retain guard.
Arago is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Savage is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Bobby's Bench Shop that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.

Face pushes Finess off and scrambles back to his feet.
Finess tries to clinch but Face is having none of it.

Face is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Finess.

This has been an exciting period of action!

It looked like Face was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Finess is trying to trip Face. He has hold of a leg but Face is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Finess persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Finess must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Finess seems to have recovered his senses.

Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Face! Finess is out on his feet! Face rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Finess is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Finess is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.

Shiit has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but McKregor can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
