The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bolt tries to keep at a distance but Vale has taken the fight into the clinch.

Bolt turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Bolt throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Vale is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Carvalho working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

Carvalho drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Livre manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Carvalho has Livre in his guard.

Carvalho has his foot on Livre's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Livre works his way back into a safe position though.
