The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rose takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Henderson throws a combination. Rose tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Henderson throws a looping overhand right but Rose ducks down to avoid it.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Rose has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Rose fails to land the takedown.
Rose dives in for a single leg takedown but Henderson sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Henderson's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Henderson duly obliges.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Joshua Lynch.

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Hakuin Ekaku Jr (ranked 91 p4p, 14 weight class) and Karl Denke (ranked 689 p4p, 102 weight class).
