The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jones throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Arlovsky was covering up waiting for the punch and Jones finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Jones is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Jones postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Arlovsky is pulling down on Jones's head to control his posture.
Jones tries to free his leg and advance position but Arlovsky is retaining full guard.

Jones drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Jones jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Jones stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Arlovsky swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Arlovsky tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Jones was well out of range. Poor timing from Arlovsky.

Jones drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Jones has hold of Arlovsky's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Arlovsky tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Jones cranks the arm and Arlovsky screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Arlovsky, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
