Undercard bout

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Malcolm Craig (ranked 4708 p4p, 203 weight class) and Wally Backman (ranked 4778 p4p, 207 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Malcolm Craig has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Malcolm Craig seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Grady feints a jab promting Dayley to slip. Grady then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Dayley slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
A left and a right from Grady both land. Nice combination.
Grady looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Dayley went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Grady scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Pripyat has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Bell is on top in guard.

Bell must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Pripyat has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Bell can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bell has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Pripyat to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Bell is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Pripyat pulls down on the head and he's put Bell to sleep! This one is all over!

These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Umber misses with a combination
and Grabber counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Umber throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Grabber wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Umber misses with a hook. Grabber ducked under it nicely.
Umber swings for the body but Grabber moves out of range.
Umber walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Umber fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Grabber slips under a jab from Umber.
Grabber cracks Umber with a good jab.
Umber misses with a looping left.
Grabber is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Umber's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Grabber connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Umber scrambles back to his feet.
Umber ducks into an uppercut from Grabber and that's knocked him out cold! This one is all over!
