The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from McAuliffe.
Brown sizes up McAuliffe with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Brown throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Brown throws a hook to the side of McAuliffe's head but McAuliffe sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

McAuliffe displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Brown throws out the jab.

McAuliffe should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Trabik crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Dawson - the referee stops the clock and Trabik gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Dawson. Trabik manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Dawson might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Damien Dawson.
Well Trabik has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jacobs misses with a takedown attempt - Colnago sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Colnago takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Colnago lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Jacobs with a lazy takedown attempt
and Colnago counters with a straight right hand.

It looks like Rodney Jacobs has been cut.
Colnago stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Colnago lands a big right hand that sends Jacobs crashing to the mat! Colnago stays standing though and waves Jacobs back to his feet!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Colnago pounces like a tiger and cracks Jacobs with a vicious hook! Jacobs is down but not out! Colnago follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!

Paulin looks to score with a jab to the body but Braddock is just out of range.
Braddock swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.

Braddock seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Braddock throws a series of punches but Paulin moves out of range.
Paulin lands a head kick!

It looks like John Braddock has been cut.
Paulin tries a head kick but it misses.
Braddock uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Paulin.
Paulin takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Braddock, as that shot connected.

Paulin takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Paulin throws a head kick but Braddock moves out of range.

Paulin fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Braddock manages to avoid it.
Braddock wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Paulin lands a jab to Braddock's midsection.
Paulin tries a head kick but it misses.
Paulin has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Braddock throws out a powerful jab.
Paulin takes one to the chin there.

The fighters circling - Paulin throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Braddock wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Braddock is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.

Braddock drives through and clinches with Paulin against the cage.
Paulin has a couple of punches blocked by Braddock.
A nice left hand lands by Braddock.

That has opened up Thierry Paulin's cut even more.

Braddock creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Paulin's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Paulin drops to his knees and Braddock pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

John Braddock retains his heavyweight title!
After the fight, John Braddock was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
