The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chung fails with an attempt to clinch.
Kim scores with a head kick. Chung tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.

Kim goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

Kim breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Kim shoots in for a double leg but Chung sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Kim misses with a few strikes there.

Chung has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Kim uses from the top position.

Kim dives in and scores a takedown into Chung's guard.
Chung is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Chung throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

Chung wants to stand and escape but Kim is having none of it.

Kim drops back, looking for a kneebar! Chung looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Chung looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Chung!


Chung swings around for an armbar but Kim sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Chung's guard.

Kim is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Chung can do to turn this around?

Kim seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Chung does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Chung is striking from the bottom but he's now found himself mounted! Oh dear - not enough focus on defense there.

Chung is in all sorts of trouble here.
Kim takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Kim has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Chung tries to reverse the position but Kim maintains control.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Sloppy strikes from Kim. Those never looked like landing.
Chung tries to score a power double leg takedown but Kim sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Chung somewhat.

Horrible takedown attempt by Chung or perhaps it was just good defense by Kim, which made it look bad.

Chung throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kim's waist but Kim gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Chung off to one side.
Woo Taehyung Kim has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lee Dae Chung.

Chung misses with a punch to the body.
Kim tries to score a body lock takedown but Chung shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Chung's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Kim pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Chung looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kim is fending him off so far but Chung persists. Nope, Kim circles away and we're back to standing.

Chung takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Kim is trying hard to land a takedown here. Chung sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Kim doesn't manage to clinch there - Chung circles away.
Kim uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Chung.
Chung is looking to clinch.

Kim has closed the distance and engaged Chung in a clinch.

Kim successfully pulls guard.
Chung trying to control but Kim is working from the bottom.
Kim is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Woo Taehyung Kim overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Kim lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Kim works over Chung with some ground and pound from guard.
Kim postures up.
Kim trying to stand up but can't free himself from Chung's guard.

Kim gets to his feet. Chung looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Kim swings for the body but Chung moves out of range.
Chung changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Chung circles away from the clinch attempt.
Chung shoots and misses
and Chung takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Chung shoots in for a takedown but Kim shows good takedown defense.

Kim closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Chung's guard.

Kim engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

Kim decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Chung, up you get!
