The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Macaxeira moves into the clinch successfully.

Rum's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Rum fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Macaxeira works the jab nicely.
Rum shoots for a double leg takedown but Macaxeira sprawls well. He's pushed Rum's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Rum avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Rum closes the distance and pushes Macaxeira back into the cage.

Rum wants the takedown. Macaxeira is fighting it off but Rum persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Macaxeira's guard against the cage.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
