And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kemp forces Pack back against the cage and clinches.
Kemp working aggressively here.

Kemp escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Pack looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Kemp tries to kick Pack off in order to stand up. Pack Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
Pack tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Kemp is trying to control Pack's posture but Pack avoids it.
Pack tries to move to mount but Kemp blocks the move with his legs.

Pack looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Pack thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Pack is staying tight to Kemp's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Pack in side control, throwing shots but Kemp defends.

Pack is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Kemp is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Pack trying to control the action but Kemp is working from the bottom.
Kemp tries to improve position but can't.
Kemp can't do much from the bottom here.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Kemp wants to get back to his feet but Pack drags him back down.
Kemp is trying to improve his position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pack trying to control the position but Kemp is working away.
Pack lands an elbow.
Pack is putting a hurting on Kemp here, landing some big shots from side control.

Pack tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Pack is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Kemp has escaped the position, nice work there.

Pack goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Kemp has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Pack but great work by Kemp.
Kemp wants to control but Pack is keeping him busy.
Pack avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Kemp.
Kemp working the strikes but Pack uses the opportunity to regain half guard.
Kemp looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Pack with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
The fighters are battling for position here. Pack manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Pack working a defensive guard but Kemp passes into half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Pack looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Pack makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Pack.

Pack has his foot on Kemp's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kemp works his way back into a safe position though.
Pack looks winded!
Pack is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Pack looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Justin Pack dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!


Pack moves away from the strike by Kemp.

Kemp moves into range and clinches up with Pack.

Kemp manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Pack wants to control from the top but Kemp keeps moving.

Pack drops back looking for a leg! Kemp is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Kemp manages to kick Pack off! Pack jumps back into Kemp's guard.
Kemp keeping moving, preventing Pack from controlling successfully.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Pack is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Kemp is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Kemp has escaped and now he's on top!

Kemp makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Kemp got a little sloppy there for a moment and Pack has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kemp has managed to get both his arms back between Pack's legs - danger averted.
Kemp distracts Pack with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Kemp throwing strikes from guard but Pack blocks nicely.

Pack is looking for a triangle here but Kemp uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Pack is breathing heavily.
Kemp lands a few punches from side control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Pack takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Pack tries to buck Kemp off but Kemp is having none of it.
Pack can't do much from the bottom here.
Kemp works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Kemp working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
Pack tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Kemp wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Pack, who protects the arm well.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kemp misses with an attempted head punch from side control.

Kemp has hold of Pack's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Pack tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Kemp cranks the arm and Pack screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Pack, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:40 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Zackary Kemp!
