The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Al Balawi tries to close the distance and clinch up but Al Khuzeem swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Al Balawi tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Al Khuzeem defends well and Al Balawi ends up having to push Al Khuzeem into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Al Khuzeem closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Al Balawi's guard.

Al Balawi had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Al Khuzeem defends it easily.
Al Khuzeem is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Al Khuzeem is looking to work some ground and pound but Al Balawi has wrist control.
Al Khuzeem must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Al Khuzeem keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Al Balawi's head.

Al Balawi working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Al Khuzeem doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Al Khuzeem manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Al Khuzeem postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Al Balawi has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Al Khuzeem should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Al Balawi has tightened it up now! Al Khuzeem should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
