Routure moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

It looks like Johnny Dawson has been cut.

Malenko darts in looking for a takedown but Martin gets double underhooks and turns Malenko into the cage.
Malenko has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Malenko swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
And Martin tries to counter it with a takedown but Malenko pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Malenko feints and as Martin raises his hands in defense, Malenko changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Malenko stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Martin swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Malenko wants to control from the top but Martin keeps moving.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Malenko is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Martin is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Malenko is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Martin to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Martin shrugs it off.

Malenko is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Martin can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Martin has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Malenko to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Martin is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Malenko pulls down on the head and he's put Martin to sleep! This one is all over!
