The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scanlan has his takedown stuffed
and Steve Jr cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Steve Jr connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Scanlan shoots in looking for a takedown. Steve Jr tries to sprawl out of it but Scanlan keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Steve Jr manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Scanlan doesn't manage to clinch there - Steve Jr circles away.
