Eikmeyer fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Krynn sprawls well initially but Eikmeyer persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Krynn looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Eikmeyer is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Krynn!
Krynn really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Eikmeyer. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
BOOM! Eikmeyer connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Eikmeyer is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Krynn is forced to tap! Great finish!

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Montero lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Diamond has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Diamond and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Montero has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
