The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fox closes the distance and clinches up with Slide, looking for a takedown. Fox pushes Slide against the cage but Slide circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Slide rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Fox moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Slide stuffs the takedown attempt from Fox. Fox gets slowly back to his feet.
Fox pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Slide blocks a jab.
An inside leg kick lands from Slide.
Fox just misses with a punch to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Fox has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Slide stalks Fox and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Fox's face. Fox staggers backwards, shaken.

Lacerda creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Polak sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Lacerda has hold of Polak's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Polak tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Lacerda cranks the arm and Polak screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Polak, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Bong has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Glover is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Bong yanks on the arm and Glover is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Bong.
