The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Todd Rumper seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Silva throws a lazy right hand but Bonnano sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Silva is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Bonnano is staying active.

Well Silva has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

McDonald stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Cathaway.
McDonald darts in looking for a takedown but Cathaway gets double underhooks and turns McDonald into the cage.
McDonald shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Cathaway counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Cathaway lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
McDonald is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Cathaway.
McDonald has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
McDonald tries to clinch up.
McDonald shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Cathaway pinned against the cage. Cathaway gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Jimmy Cathaway has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of David McDonald.

Bison has left one of his arms exposed and Ithamar doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Bison screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
