Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Monte Casanova (ranked 2748 p4p, 303 weight class) and Didier Misalooba (ranked 3472 p4p, 356 weight class). Misalooba has chosen Beyond the Black as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Misalooba looks to land a combination but Casanova avoids it well.
Misalooba lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Casanova shoots in for a takedown but Misalooba shows good takedown defense.
Misalooba scores with the left hand. Casanova knows he should have avoided that one.

It looks like Monte Casanova has been cut.
Misalooba tries to clinch up but Casanova circles away and keeps his distance.

Casanova could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Casanova is nestled in close to Misalooba, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Misalooba finds Casanova's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Casanova flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Misalooba lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Casanova will be OK.

A very excited looking Didier Misalooba made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.

Zombie comes to the cage accompanied by ZOMBIE. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Marilson Coutinho was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Nobu Sanada (ranked 5034 p4p, 470 weight class) and Alex Polyanskiy (ranked 2699 p4p, 287 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Polyanskiy's choice of entrance music: Oxxxymiron - Signs of life. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.
