Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Joey Farboni!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Luke Roy!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Franklyn Lucas and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Roy closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Roy lands in his opponent's guard.
Roy is looking to work some ground and pound but Farboni has wrist control.
Farboni preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Farboni wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Farboni bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Roy's guard.

Roy wants to sweep here but Farboni controlling him for the moment.
Roy is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Farboni is keen to just control but Roy is a slippery customer.

Farboni connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Roy some visible discomfort.

That was a close second round but I would say that Joey Farboni will probably get the nod.

Farboni got a little sloppy there for a moment and Roy has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Farboni has managed to get both his arms back between Roy's legs - danger averted.

Road shoots in and drives through. Camille sprawls well.

Road shoots in for a double leg but Camille sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Camille throws a leg kick which misses Road's front leg but catches the back leg as Road tries to avoid it.

Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Road might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Camille has got the better of the exchanges.

Claremont is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
