Tiger kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Eye of the tiger. Latish Festin told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wilder displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Nguyen.
A jab from Wilder finds it's way through Nguyen's defenses.

Nguyen closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Wilder did well to prevent Nguyen getting side control.

Nguyen is looking for a kimura here.
Nguyen is trying to control the action in half guard but Wilder is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Wilder tries to kick Nguyen off but Nguyen keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Wilder is staying active underneath Nguyen, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Wilder is trying to stand up here but Nguyen is controlling him well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wilder is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Wilder throws a leg kick which misses Nguyen's front leg but catches the back leg as Nguyen tries to avoid it.
Nguyen seems to have got his legs back now.
Wilder connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Nguyen is breathing heavily.
Nguyen tries to clinch but Wilder is having none of it.
Nguyen takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Nguyen is trying hard to land a takedown here. Wilder sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Nguyen with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Wilder to score with a decent uppercut.
Wilder Rushes Nguyen and starts throwing punches like they are going out of style! Nguyen is up against the cage and has nowhere to go. Wilder Piles on the pressure and Nguyen crumples to the floor! This one is all over!
