Undercard bout

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Gunn (ranked 24322 p4p, 675 weight class) and Crackie Chinn (ranked 7711 p4p, 648 weight class). Crackie Chinn told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A clash of legs there as Chinn blocks the low kick.
Gunn keeps the fight on the outside.

Gunn looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Chinn!
Chinn really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gunn. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Chinn tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Gunn wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Sloppy strikes there by Gunn.
Gunn cracks Chinn with a big right hand but Chinn just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Gunn is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gunn moves into full mount!

Chinn is trying desperately to improve position.

Gunn jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Chinn manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Gunn passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Chinn!
Gunn is landing with some decent strikes but Chinn is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Chinn looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Gunn pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Chinn wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Gunn.

Gunn is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Chinn can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Gunn has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Gunn jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Chinn manages to avoid the submission attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Chinn enables Gunn to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Chinn manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Gunn stands and throws Chinn's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Gunn is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Chinn is trying to escape and Gunn transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Chinn is forced to tap! Nice work there by Gunn! Very nice indeed!

Zigrand kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Linkin Park - Never back down. Daniel Booningham is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Zigrand misses with a takedown attempt
letting Booningham counter with a right hand.
Booningham lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Zigrand circles away quickly and effectively.
Zigrand appears to be looking for a big counter.
Booningham clobbers Zigrand with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Oooooh!!! Booningham has knocked Zigrand down with a huge combo! Booningham steps away and waves a wobbly Zigrand back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Zigrand wants to clinch but Booningham slips to the side
and Booningham counters with a crisp right that sends Zigrand to the canvas! Booningham follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!

McGregor gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

so Borov counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

McGregor manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.

Borov is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. McGregor can't fight it off and eventually Borov manages to take the fight to the floor. McGregor looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Borov lands a couple of elbows.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

He's trying desperately to grab hold of Borov around the waist but Borov pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Borov is the winner by TKO! Borov jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"

Matters on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Matters tries to get out of the position.

Camara scores with a punch to the head.
McGee gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Camara gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! McGee is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
