Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Simba Moso (ranked 8048 p4p, 563 weight class) and Ricky Rivera (ranked 6503 p4p, 516 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Moso might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to The Lion Sleeps Tonight. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rivera uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Moso.
As Moso backs off Rivera throws a huge counter combo but Moso manages to avoid it all.
Rivera shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Moso as he avoids it easily.
Moso takes a swing at Rivera's ribcage but misses.
Moso fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Rivera throws out a counter right but Moso avoids it with no problem.
Moso pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Moso has been working on his balance at Hardpunch (13 Elite / 1000$, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Rivera.
Moso tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Moso throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Rivera's waist but Rivera gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Moso off to one side.

Rivera changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Moso tries to avoid it but Rivera manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Moso to the ground. Moso escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Moso is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Rivera's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Rivera was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.

Canto is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Jerry to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Jerry shrugs it off.
Jerry's coaches at Boomerang!! PURE ELITE COACHES and Sparring Center have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position.

Canto is working for a guillotine from mount but Jerry frees his head quite easily.
