The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hands misses with a wild combination.
Fett shoots in looking for a takedown. Hands tries to sprawl out of it but Fett keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hands manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Hands fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Hands tries to bum rush Fett with a series of wild strikes but Fett uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Hands throws the left hand but Fett avoids the punch easily.
Hands smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

Fett gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Hands drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Hands jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Hands stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Fett swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rex Carver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Coca Cola (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rex Carver had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 206.2lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!


Cola fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Carver looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Cola feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
