The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mona loads up on a big right hand but Bong slips the punch.
Mona pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Bong appears to be looking for a big counter.
A slow jab from Mona misses its intended target.
It looked like Bong was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Mona.
Mona tries to clinch but Bong moves out of range.
Mona throws a lazy body kick
and Bong counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Mona throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Bong's waist but Bong gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Mona off to one side.

Mona is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

As Mona looks to move away, Bong throws a big counter combo but Mona just gets out of the way.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Bong lands an uppercut, right on the button! Mona tumbles backwards into the cage, staring vacantly into space! He's got no idea where he is, who he is or what day it is... Poor guy.

Nobriega is wriggling around but Edmonds manages to pass to half guard.


Edmonds has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Nobriega defend it? Edmonds steps over the head and cranks it - Nobriega is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Edmonds!
