Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bo George (ranked 25090 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ksi JJ (ranked 5321 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Radbod Blank and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
George tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
George shoots for a takedown but JJ saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
George shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

JJ rushes George and presses him up against the cage.
George really is a fat lump.
George prevents the takedown attempt.
A short right from JJ.
JJ is trying to break the clinch but George has him pressed against the cage.

JJ works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
JJ trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
JJ stops George from standing up.
George is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
JJ passes George's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.
George is trying to stand back up but JJ is controlling him
JJ wants to lay and pray for a moment but George keeps working.
JJ is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Let's hope that JJ has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
JJ fails to land the takedown.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

JJ looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
JJ trying to control but George is working from the bottom.
JJ seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

George is looking to stand up but JJ isn't so interested in that idea.

George is working an open guard so JJ takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
George keeps control of JJ as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
JJ goes for a takedown in the clinch but George prevents it.
Bo George has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ksi JJ.

JJ jumps guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now JJ is on top in guard.


JJ stands and steps away. George gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

JJ looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for George!

George sneaks out the side door and pushes JJ away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


George shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. JJ defends it nicely.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for JJ. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
JJ shoots in looking for a takedown. George tries to sprawl out of it but JJ keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. George manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
George appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.

JJ looking to score a takedown here. George is defending well but JJ drives through and ends up in George's guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

JJ gets to his feet. George looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
George rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but JJ moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
George shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts JJ as he jumps to the side.
JJ throws a counter combo.

George tries to score a power double leg takedown but JJ sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten George somewhat.

JJ shoots in looking for a takedown but George manages to keep the fight standing, pushing JJ's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

JJ closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
JJ is trying to force a seperation but George has the dominant position.
JJ looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
JJ is struggling to control the position.
JJ wants to get back to striking at distance but George won't allow it.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
JJ is looking to break free of the clinch but George has double underhooks.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
JJ is trying to break the clinch but George has him pressed against the cage.
George drops to a knee looking for a takedown but JJ gets the underhooks and prevents it.
George stalling.
JJ is trying to drag George to the mat but George just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

JJ is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
JJ has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. George avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
JJ wants to get back to striking at distance but George won't allow it.
JJ tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. George just stands there and leans against the cage.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
JJ changes levels and goes for a takedown here. George fights it off and pushes away nicely.
JJ has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

JJ closes the distance and clinches.

JJ manages to break the clinch.
Ksi JJ seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

JJ pushes George up against the cage in a clinch.
JJ drops down looking for an ankle pick but George pulls his leg out and moves away.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
George misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ksi JJ showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!


George turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
George throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

JJ rushes George and presses him up against the cage.
George is trying to pull guard but JJ turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
JJ is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables George to keep the fight standing.
JJ tries to break free but George pushes him back against the cage.

Bo George is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
George tries to bum rush JJ with a series of wild strikes but JJ uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
George shoots for a double leg takedown but JJ sprawls well. He's pushed George's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bo George. That's going to take a lot out of him.

JJ instigates a clinch.
George jumps guard but JJ stands there with George around his waist. George gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
JJ tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
JJ has had enough of the clinch but George keeps him there for the moment.
JJ is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
JJ wants to get back to striking at distance but George won't allow it.

JJ drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and George dives on top into guard.

JJ stops George from standing up.

Ksi JJ comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got JJ winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
