The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sanderson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Sanderson is standing up over Wilder. Wilder looks to escape but Sanderson dives into side control.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.


Sanderson has an Americana. Wilder didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Sanderson is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Sanderson hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Culpi tries to sprawl but Parker drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Parker perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Parker definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Parker is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Culpi escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Parker gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Parker is trying to control Culpi's posture but Culpi avoids it.
Parker is looking to regain half guard here but Culpi keeps moving and retains side control.

Culpi thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Parker on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Parker tries to get out of the position.
Parker tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Culpi wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Culpi tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Culpi has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
