Scott drops back, looking for a kneebar! Kuuppa looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Kuuppa looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Kuuppa!


Kuuppa decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Kuuppa shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Scott's guard.

Kuuppa got a little sloppy there for a moment and Scott has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kuuppa has managed to get both his arms back between Scott's legs - danger averted.
Kuuppa would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Kuuppa feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Coco is looking for a kimura but Ignacio is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Coco to get the leverage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Coco is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Ignacio is trying to escape back to his feet but Coco uses the scramble to pass into side control.

Coco is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Ignacio is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Ragnoth.
Ragnoth could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Ragnoth shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Aibarra's guard.

Aibarra lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
