The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rhall gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Smalls's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Smalls duly obliges.

It looks like Rikki Rhall has been cut.

Smalls shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Rhall won't allow Smalls to pass to mount.

Rhall has closed the distance and engaged Smalls in a clinch.

Smalls dives in and grabs Rhall's left leg, looking for a takedown. Rhall pushes down on Smalls's head and hops out.
Rhall seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Smalls changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Rhall tries to avoid it but Smalls manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Rhall to the ground. Rhall escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
No joy there for Smalls, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Rhall moves into the clinch.

The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Smalls tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Rikki Rhall has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jackson Smalls.

Rhall's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Rhall manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Smalls on his heels. He'll look to pass Smalls's guard now, I'm sure.
Smalls wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Rhall manages to pass to side control.


Smalls is working on a guillotine. He's managed to get to full guard and he's really squeezing tight! Rhall is tapping! Great win for Smalls!

Mathews fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Stallion looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Stallion throws a punch but it's blocked by Mathews.
Mathews fails to pull guard.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Mathews.
Mathews blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Mathews pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Stallion jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Stallion drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Stallion seems to have locked his on tight now - Mathews screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Stallion, as he picks up the win!

Power throws a body punch but Loran moves out of range.
Power avoids the head kick by Loran.
Power was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Power lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Loran shoots for a double leg takedown but Power sprawls well. He's pushed Loran's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Power loads up on a big right hand but Loran slips the punch.
Power misses the jab.
Power lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Power digs a good hook to Loran's body.
Loran throws a nice head kick!
Loran lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Loran takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Loran tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Power paws at him with a jab and circles away.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Power moves into the clinch.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Power.
Power lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Power works on Loran's body with a couple of short punches.
Power digs a right hand underneath Loran's ribcage. Loran let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Loran looks winded!
A nice left hand lands by Power.

Loran is rocked!

A short right hand to the side of the head by Power.
Loran is still on wobbly legs! Can Power finish him?
Power throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Loran is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Nice body punch from Power - that landed with a thud.
Power unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Loran! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Power is unloading with more strikes now! Loran drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!

Jesus looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Dawson is fending him off so far but Jesus persists. Nope, Dawson circles away and we're back to standing.
Jesus looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Jesus tries to score a power double leg takedown but Dawson sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Jesus somewhat.
Joe Dawson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Thiago Jesus.
I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Dawson has cracked Jesus with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Dawson lands another huge swinging hook and Jesus tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Jesus, before Dawson can land any more shots!
