Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Lalli Lallukka!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Vodka Shots!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Luis Engracia and Emerson Jorge.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lallukka tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Shots shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Lallukka sprawls well. Lallukka wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Shots gets slowly back to his feet.
Lallukka throws a body kick despite being completely out of range

and Shots counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Lallukka!
Lallukka tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.

Shots looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Shots with some aggressive grappling here, looking for the finish.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Shots has hold of Lallukka's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Lallukka manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Shots seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Lallukka is holding on tight.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Shots is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Lallukka to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Lallukka shrugs it off.

Lallukka is trying to get back to his feet but Shots has full control of the position and if anything, Lallukka has just worked his way into a worse spot.

Lallukka manages to stand up with Shots still on his back. Eventually Shots drops to his feet and we're back in the standing position.

Lallukka's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Shots is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Lallukka can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

A close round but Vodka Shots will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Shots shoots in looking for a takedown. Lallukka tries to sprawl out of it but Shots keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Lallukka manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Shots throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Lallukka's waist but Lallukka gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Shots off to one side.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Shots tries to score a power double leg takedown but Lallukka sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Shots somewhat.

Shots shoots in and bounces Lallukka off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Lallukka wants to get back to his feet but Shots is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

and Shots counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Shots takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Shots wants to control the pace but Lallukka is squirming around nicely.

Shots jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Lallukka manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Shots is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Lallukka is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Lallukka stalks Shots and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Shots's face. Shots staggers backwards, shaken.

Shots shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Lallukka pinned against the cage. Lallukka gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Bigsby fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

Iguchi fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Bigsby, pushing him back against the cage.
Iguchi jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Bigsby walks away with a smile on his face. Iguchi gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

and Bigsby counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Bigsby scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Iguchi doesn't seem bothered though.
Bigsby dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Iguchi takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Bigsby clobbers Iguchi with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Iguchi is trying to drag Bigsby to the mat but Bigsby just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Bigsby lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Iguchi or not.

Iguchi is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Iguchi had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Bigsby defends it easily.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Iguchi can do anything to dispel that myth.

Bigsby is really struggling to control Iguchi but he's trying to hold on to the position.

Iguchi misses with a series of wild punches.

Iguchi looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Bigsby ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Iguchi is still on wobbly legs! Can Bigsby finish him?
Iguchi moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Iguchi fails to pull guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Bigsby connects with a body shot that sends Iguchi's belly button to the back.
Iguchi seems to have recovered his senses.
A jab from Bigsby finds it's way through Iguchi's defenses.

Bigsby steps in with a hook that catches Iguchi right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Bigsby follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Iguchi looks absolutely devastated.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Griggs Bigsby!
In defeat, Aito Iguchi stepped up to the mic, saying 'Sometimes you are the nail and sometimes you are the hammer'.
