The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Studd closes the distance and pushes Badass back into the cage.

Studd wants the takedown. Badass is fighting it off but Studd persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Badass's guard against the cage.

Studd has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Badass to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Studd is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Badass pulls down on the head and he's put Studd to sleep! This one is all over!

Squirt Gun unleashes a big counter combination but Xander bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Xander pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Squirt Gun changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Squirt Gun tries to clinch up
and Squirt Gun takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Squirt Gun shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Xander manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Squirt Gun wants to control from the top but Xander keeps moving.
Squirt Gun with a flurry of punches that miss.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Squirt Gun trying to control but Xander is working from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Squirt Gun slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Xander is wriggling around trying to escape but Squirt Gun has hooked up a rear naked choke! Is it over??? Is it... you're damn right it is! Xander taps out and Squirt Gun picks up the big win! Great work there by Squirt Gun!

Romeu Pinto feints the counter takedown.

and Romeu Pinto counters with a body kick.
Romeu Pinto walks into a stiff left hand from The Nigerian.
The Nigerian throws a poor cross that misses

and Romeu Pinto counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Romeu Pinto told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.
Romeu Pinto should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Romeu Pinto's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
The Nigerian will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Romeu Pinto stands and throws The Nigerian's legs to the side, diving into side control.
The Nigerian definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
The Nigerian takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Romeu Pinto controls the position.
It looks like Romeu Pinto might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Diallo instigates a clinch.
Der Ley has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Diallo is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Diallo lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Diallo scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Diallo lands with a left to the head.
Diallo lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Der Ley or not.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Diallo as Der Ley tries to tie him up.
Diallo lands a body punch.
Diallo pushes Der Ley back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Still in the clinch, Diallo scores with a nice short uppercut.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Diallo.
Der Ley is trying to drag Diallo to the mat but Diallo just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Der Ley goes for a takedown attempt but Diallo pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Van Der Ley. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Der Ley is breathing heavily.

Diallo rushes Der Ley and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Diallo lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

Strange connects with a body shot that sends Van Dijk's belly button to the back.

Van Dijk closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Van Dijk lands in his opponent's guard.
Van Dijk is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Strange can't keep his opponent in guard - Van Dijk advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Van Dijk thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Strange's head.
Van Dijk thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Van Dijk seems to be working for a kimura but Strange defends the submission attempt.

Van Dijk frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
