The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Usmen looks for a takedown but Baby! sprawls well.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Baby!! But no joy.

Baby! changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Usmen looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Baby! stands up and beckons Usmen to his feet.
Usmen shoots in for a double leg but Baby! sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Baby! feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Usmens jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Baby! drops Usmen with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Usmen looks back up at him and smiles so Baby! waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Usmen is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!

Baby! darts in and clinches Usmen up against the cage.
Oh Usmen is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Usmen with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

Baby! manages to break the clinch.
Baby! ducks down and throws a big overhand right - it lands flush on the jaw, knocking Usmen out cold! The fight is over!

Prevot sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Prevot takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Prevot walks forward, straight into a front kick from Markov.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Prevot crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Markov - the referee stops the clock and Prevot gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Markov. Prevot manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Well Markov has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Supuaga reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Supuaga taps out! Nice BJJ there by Sands!

Udovich prevents Sionis from getting back to his feet.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Udovich cracks Sionis with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Sionis tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Udovich pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Sionis is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Simon Udovich!
Simon Udovich is the new super heavyweight champion!
A relieved looking Simon Udovich thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
