The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tillman rushes Wells and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Tillman has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

You get the feeling that Wells really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Wells got a little sloppy there for a moment and Tillman has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Wells has managed to get both his arms back between Tillman's legs - danger averted.

Monroe showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Wu Cao.
Monroe was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Monroe closes this distance looking for a takedown but Wu Cao circles away.
Wu Cao's coach down at Ferocious beast was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Wu Cao's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Monroe fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Wu Cao avoids it really well and circles away.
Wu Cao throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Wu Cao rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Monroe moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Monroe fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
