Jones dives in and grabs Maldono's left leg, looking for a takedown. Maldono pushes down on Jones's head and hops out.
Jones lands a head kick. Maldono smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Maldono shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Jones manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Maldono got a little sloppy there for a moment and Jones has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Maldono has managed to get both his arms back between Jones's legs - danger averted.

Maldono is sitting in close to Jones's body. Jones has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Maldono is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Maldono is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Jones.

Daniel Jones opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
