The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Main fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Du Preez, pushing him back against the cage.
Du Preez blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Du Preez blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Du Preez is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.

Main pulls guard.
Du Preez wanted to stand there but Main had control of the position.

Du Preez got a little sloppy there for a moment and Main has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Du Preez has managed to get both his arms back between Main's legs - danger averted.
Main not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Du Preez wants to pass the guard but Main is keeping the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Du Preez has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Main to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Du Preez is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Main pulls down on the head and he's put Du Preez to sleep! This one is all over!

In his post fight interview, Toe Main started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
