The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

T fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Druff, pushing him back against the cage.
T can't break the clinch.
Druff tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. T smiles and moves away.
Druff shoots in for a double leg but T sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Druff feints and as T raises his hands in defense, Druff changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Druff is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Druff trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
T is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
T utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
T keeping full guard, as Druff tries to pass.
T working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Druff.
T is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Druff throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as T works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Druff throws and elbow that misses. T uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Druff's guard. Nice move by T!
T stopping the sweep attempt from Druff.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Druff bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Druff postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Druff misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
T is trying to control Druff's posture but Druff avoids it.

momo shoots in looking for a takedown. Hammer tries to sprawl out of it but momo keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hammer manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Hammer stuffs the takedown attempt from momo. momo gets slowly back to his feet.
Hammer tries to bum rush momo with a series of wild strikes but momo uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Wheldon cracks Irvin with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Wheldon connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Wheldon throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Irvin stumbling backwards into the cage! Irvin bounces back off the cage towards Wheldon, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Wheldon lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Wheldon celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Fairtex just misses with a punch to the body.
Wayne shoots for a double leg takedown but Fairtex sprawls well. He's pushed Wayne's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

enabling Wayne to counter with a crisp jab.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Fairtex is on top in guard.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Wayne crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Fairtex - the referee stops the clock and Wayne gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Fairtex. Wayne manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
