Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Thai Bo king (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Paua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Paua has chosen Bomberpilot as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Evans. No joy for Johnson on that attempt.
Johnson is trying hard to land a takedown here. Evans sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Johnson feints and as Evans raises his hands in defense, Johnson changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Evans utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Johnson chips away with some ground and pound.
Johnson throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Johnson has gone for a leg lock! Evans slips out almost immediately though and dives into Johnson's guard.

Evans got a little sloppy there for a moment and Johnson has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Evans has managed to get both his arms back between Johnson's legs - danger averted.

Evans shoots in looking for a takedown. Johnson tries to sprawl out of it but Evans keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Johnson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

and Evans counters with a nice double leg into side control. Johnson won't be happy with that.
Colt Evans has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James Johnson.

Evans wants to control but Johnson is keeping him busy.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Johnson is on top in guard.

Johnson drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Evans manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Johnson has Evans in his guard.

Johnson is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Johnson lands a couple of decent looking shots.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Johnson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Evans has momentary wrist control but Johnson slips an elbow through the middle.

Johnson drops back, looking for a kneebar! Evans looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Evans looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Evans!

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Evans tries to advance to mount but Johnson denies him.
Johnson manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Rini takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Luther rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Rini moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Rini avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Rini connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Luther's hands.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Rini decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Luther, up you get!
Donk. Rini catches Luther right on the button with a cross.
Rini is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

Rini avoids the head kick by Luther.
Luther misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Rini is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Rini jabs Luther right on the nose. Luther blinks but takes it well.

and Rini cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Rini smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Rini lands with a hook. Luther tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Rini bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Luther walks into a jab.
Rini scores with a sloppy right hand. Luther should have avoided that one.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Uki Rini dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Lex Luther's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Rini is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Luther misses with a head kick.
Rini fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Luther looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Rini works Luther's body with a nice hook.
Lex Luther is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Rini lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Nice uppercut there from Rini.
Rini stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Luther is rocked!
Rini rushes Luther with punches - Luther moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Luther goes down! Rini follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!
