Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jorge Vidal (ranked 4471 p4p, 431 weight class) and Jerome Winn (ranked 5553 p4p, 478 weight class). Vidal comes to the cage accompanied by Scarface OST - The world is yours. Winn has chosen Coolio - Gangsta's Paradise as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Jerome Winn has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Jorge Vidal's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Winn misses with a lunging right hand
and Winn takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Winn shoots in and gets a takedown into Vidal's guard.

It looks like Winn might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Gunter seems to have locked his on tight now - Taiwo screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Gunter, as he picks up the win!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Owens. Fuchs does a little dance to reset his feet.
Owens throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Fuchs on the side of the head.
Owens has a takedown stuffed.
Owens closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Fuchs looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Fuchs scores with a one two! Owens had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Owens shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Fuchs pinned against the cage. Fuchs gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Fuchs throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Owens sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Owens shoots in looking for a takedown but Fuchs manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Owens's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Fuchs went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Chase Fuchs has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kolbee Owens.
Owens lunges at Fuchs with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Fuchs's hand.
Fuchs throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Fuchs walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Owens tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Fuchs swivels and escapes.

Owens changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Fuchs looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Owens is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Fuchs has escaped the position, nice work there.
Fuchs is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at The Forge that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.
Owens controls the position.

Fuchs is trying to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Owens is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Fuchs is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Owens tries to advance to mount but Fuchs denies him.
Fuchs is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Owens asserts his dominance and retains side control.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Fuchs is not content to let Owens control the position.
Owens might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Fuchs haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Fuchs wants to get back to his feet.

Fuchs is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Owens has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Owens working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Owens has hold of Fuchs's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Fuchs tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Owens cranks the arm and Fuchs screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Fuchs, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Kolbee Owens!

Post fight, Kolbee Owens stared into the camera and said 'This guy is a young stud and a solid competitor, but I'm a grown man and too strong for these teenagers. I'm ready for whoever is next, but I need a new contract first! I need to get paid!'.
