The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Richard Clark and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Oldrey gets a clinch.

Spany gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Spany prevents Oldrey from improving his position.
Oldrey knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Spany on the ground.
Oldrey tries to kick Spany off in order to stand up. Spany Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.

We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Spany has eaten all the pies!
Oldrey tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Spany presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!

Spany looking for a guillotine from mount but Oldrey is having none of it.
Oldrey on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Oldrey tries to get out of the position.
Oldrey tries to lock up and control but Spany gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Spany breaks from Oldrey's wrist control and lands an elbow.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Oldrey wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Oldrey is trying to get back to his feet but Spany has full control of the position and if anything, Oldrey has just worked his way into a worse spot.

Spany is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Oldrey has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

I really don't envy Oldrey right now.
Spany is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Spany is looking to control Oldrey but Oldrey is wriggling around and keeping busy.

Spany is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Oldrey is defending well though. Spany let's go of the attempt for now.

Oldrey definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Oldrey has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Spany trying to keep a closed guard but Oldrey is proving a slippery customer.

Spany is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Oldrey defends well.
Oldrey wants to control from the top but Spany keeps moving.

Spany wants to sweep here but Oldrey controlling him for the moment.

Oldrey lands a nice uppercut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Spany wants to break the clinch but can't.
Spany is breathing heavily.
Oldrey lands a body shot in the clinch.
Oldrey lands a shot to the body.
Spany's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Oldrey lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

Oldrey stalling.
Oldrey lands a left hand that snaps the head of Spany backwards.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Oldrey.

Spany is rocked!
Oldrey scores with a shoulder strike.
Spany is still on wobbly legs! Can Oldrey finish him?
Oldrey scores with a nice hook to the head.
Oldrey lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Spany backwards.
Oldrey lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Spany or not.
Oldrey lands a left hand.
Oldrey lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Oldrey creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Spany's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Spany drops to his knees and Oldrey pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
