The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sazonov tries for a takedown but Gallo sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Sazonov is trying hard to land a takedown here. Gallo sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Sazonov's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Gallo connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Sazonov scrambles back to his feet.
Sazonov dives in for a single leg takedown but Gallo sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Lucas Gallo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sergey Sazonov.
Sazonov will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Gallo connects with a single shot there.

Gallo sends Sazonov crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Gallo is motioning to the referee to let Sazonov up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
