Nicator closes the distance but Cojones moves to the side
and Cojones counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Cojones throws a looping overhand right but Nicator ducks down to avoid it.
Nicator tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Cojones connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Payakaroon has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Endgame Combat . Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.
Gomez moves into full mount! Payakaroon won't be happy about that!

Gomez is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Payakaroon with him. Payakaroon is trying to defend but Gomez has an arm under the chin now! Payakaroon grimaces and is forced to tap out!

Smith scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
A left and a right from Smith both land. Nice combination.
Quinones is trying hard to land a takedown here. Smith sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Quinones shoots in looking for a takedown but Smith manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Quinones's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Quinones is pinned up against the ropes taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Quinones is rocked!
Quinones get stunned by a cross and takes another one on the button. Quinones stumbles backwards and tries to bounce back off the ropes but Smith runs in and jumps on him with a leaping lead hook that puts him out! Wow, that was highlight reel stuff! Awesome finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Ben Smith!
Ben Smith was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
