Ward fails in his attempt to clinch.
Ward looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Gracie decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Ward wants to get back to his feet.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Ward is in trouble now - Gracie has advanced to mount!
Gracie has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Ward's face.

It looks like Palmer Ward has been cut.
Ward really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gracie. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
