The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kowalski misses with a takedown attempt - Petrov sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Petrov was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Kowalski moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Petrov stuffs the takedown attempt from Kowalski. Kowalski gets slowly back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nice straight punches there by Petrov. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Petrov.

Kowalski is rocked!
Petrov lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Kowalski falls backwards - clearly groggy! Petrov dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!

Horrible takedown attempt by Rawkicis or perhaps it was just good defense by Elerby, which made it look bad.

Elerby closes the distance and clinches.
Rawkicis is trying to push Elerby away but Elerby has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Elerby escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Rawkicis moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Elerby swings for the body but Rawkicis moves out of range.
Rawkicis works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

It looks like Tim Elerby has been cut.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Rawkicis.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Elerby misses with a double jab.
Rawkicis displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Elerby.
Rawkicis moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

Elerby steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Rawkicis. That one must have hurt.
Rawkicis lands a big head kick that sends Elerby to the canvas! Rawkicis follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!

On his way into the cage it seems that Fightah Numbah Two has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Fightah Numbah Two seems to be OK! Numbah Two walks straight into a right hand from Krylov - that's dropped him! Krylov jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Numbah Two from any more punishment! Numbah Two complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Boris Krylov!
Boris Krylov spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.

Ninja changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Godunov looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
You can see the frustration on Godunov's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Ninja is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Godunov has escaped the position, nice work there.

Ninja wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Godunov, who protects the arm well.

Ninja tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Ninja has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ninja working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Ninja tries to advance to mount but Godunov instead regains half guard.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Altair Brain.
