CroCop throws a push kick but Mendez slaps the foot to one side.
Mendez cracks CroCop with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

It looks like Mirko CroCop has been cut.
CroCop takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
An inside leg kick from CroCop misses.
CroCop throws a nice outside leg kick.
CroCop lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Mendez throws a right hand that CroCop ducks under and follows up with a left that CroCop also avoids with ease.
Mendez takes a jab right on the kisser.
Mendez bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Mendez moves out of range of the body kick.
CroCop throws a body kick despite being completely out of range
and Mendez counters with a nice body shot.
CroCop misses with a looping right.
CroCop swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Mendez counters with a thumping low kick.
CroCop looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
CroCop misses with a body kick.
Mendez cracks CroCop with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Mendez avoids a low kick by using good footwork.

That's one minute gone in the round.
CroCop drops his hands momentarily and Mendez takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
CroCop attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Mendez checks a leg kick.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! CroCop crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Mendez - the referee stops the clock and CroCop gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Mendez. CroCop manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
CroCop looks gassed!
Mendez throws an overhand right that drops CroCop like a sack of potatoes! Mendez dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Xavier Mendez!
