And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Richard Weed!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Weed misses with a hook
and Riku counters with a nice low kick that buckles Weed's knee momentarily.
Riku loads up on a big right hand but Weed slips the punch.
Weed looks to land a combination. Riku sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Weed has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Riku changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Weed misses the shot to the body.
As Weed backs away, Riku returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
Weed fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Riku manages to avoid it.
Weed throws a leg kick that misses.
Riku was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
A left lands for Riku.
Riku and Weed are patiently standing in front of each other looking for an opening. Riku throws a head kick. It's landed, knocking Weed into next week! Ooooh that was huge! Riku knows it - he's on the ropes flexing is biceps. That's a bit weird considering he won by kick but whatever.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Lazuran Riku!
A very excited looking Lazuran Riku rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.

and before Specht can reset, Mendoza rushes him with a swarm of punches, sending him crashing to the floor, in all sorts of trouble! Specht is trying to beat the count but we're up to 6 already and he's nowhere near. 7,8... he's up! He's going to continue!

I would just about give that final round to Khru Jako.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Doss tests Evo's chin there with a solid looking shot.

It looks like Lucifer Evo has been cut.
Doss steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Evo.
And Doss counters with a quick kick to the body but Evo blocks it.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Evo, as that shot connected.
Doss checks a leg kick.
Doss misses with a looping right.
Evo misses with an uppercut.
Doss has been working on his boxing with his coaches at JAG Battle Gym in the buildup to the fight.
Evo throws a hook but Doss blocks it.
Doss scores with a shot to the body.
Evo lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Doss circles away quickly and effectively.
Doss ducks under a wild hook from Evo.
A counter left hand to the body from Doss misses its target.
Doss tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Doss cracks Evo with a left hand that drops him to the canvas, up against the ropes! Can Evo get back up in time? 3, 4, 5, 6, 7... he's on one knee... 8, 9... he's up! 'Walk towards me' says the referee. Evo looks steady enough to continue so we're going to continue!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Evo throws a jab when Doss was well out of range.
Evo throws a lazy uppercut
and Doss counters with a massive hook, right on the button! He's out cold! Damn, that was naaaaaasty! Hopefully he'll be OK.

Dick Doss was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
